Contract Vehicles: Department of Commerce

ActioNet, Inc. supports the Department of Commerce (DOC) on a comprehensive process improvement effort. This effort, centered on Process Improvement, was developed to promote communication, education, and integration of selected software best practices. These efforts within the DOC are based on the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI^®) developed by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI^SM).

ActioNet provides the support initiative within the program, assists Directorates to define processes, and sets up mechanisms to manage and control change. The ActioNet team's knowledge of both software development and CMMI^® has led to a very successful relationship with the DOC; as a result our team has grown consistently since the inception.

Our ActioNet DOC team meets with the customer regularly to discuss every area we support. During these meetings we encourage communication and leverage knowledge, which keeps us from reinventing wheels while being effective and efficient. Below is an excerpt from one of our many customers at the DOC.
