Press Release: ActioNet, Inc. Certified as 8(a) and SDB by SBA

FAIRFAX, VA – March 22, 2004 – ActioNet announced today that it has been certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) in the 8(a) Business Development (BD) and Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) Programs.

ActioNet’s President, Ashley W. Chen, attributes the company’s acceptance into these programs as a result of the quality foundation that has been built over the past five years. Ms. Chen said, “ActioNet is a quality organization with a proven track record that happens to be a small, woman-owned, minority business.”

ABOUT the SBA 8(a) Business Development Program
The SBA's 8(a) BD Program, named for a section of the Small Business Act, is a business development program created to help small disadvantaged businesses compete in the American economy and access the federal procurement market.

One of SBA’s key requirements for accepting companies into the 8(a) BD Program is “potential for success.” Potential for success is measured based on the following factors:

• The technical and managerial experience of the applicant firm's managers
• The firm's operating history
• Ability of the firm to access credit and capital
• The firm's financial capacity
• The firm's record of performance
• Whether the applicant firm or individuals employed by the firm hold the requisite licenses if the firm is engaged in an industry requiring professional licensing.
