Press Release: ActioNet, Inc. Wins FTA Software Development and Infrastructure Contracts

FAIRFAX, VA – March 31, 2004 – ActioNet announced today that it has been awarded five-year contracts for Software Development and Infrastructure from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) with a combined value of over $12M.

ActioNet’s President & CEO, Ashley W. Chen, first approached FTA in 1998 to help support FTA’s Year 2000 compliance effort. After successfully completing this project, ActioNet was later brought back to help FTA establish a first class development team. Chen said, “Our process-oriented approach to project management as well as mentoring has enabled us to provide quality support for our customers and career advancement opportunities for our employees.”

ABOUT FTA
The Federal government, through the FTA, provides financial assistance to develop new transit systems and improve, maintain, and operate existing systems. FTA oversees thousands of grants to hundreds of state and local transit providers, primarily through its ten regional offices. These grantees are responsible for managing their programs in accordance with Federal requirements, and FTA is responsible for ensuring that grantees follow Federal mandates along with statutory and administrative requirements.
