Mr. Schwalm:

  • Serves as Senior Director of National Security (DOS, DOJ, DHS, AOUSC) for ActioNet
  • Leads the business unit’s overall P&L, planning, solution formulation, customer/partner relationship management practices, and growth/delivery operations
  • Provides direction and assistance to the overall company in the areas of core offerings, growth strategies, and value proposition
  • Drives employee and client engagement through contributions to ActioNet’s Rich Culture and Core Values

Mr. Schwalm started his career as a software developer for large companies such as Marriott International and federal powerhouses like NASA. He built a strong technical base through hands-on projects that span the IT spectrum with a focus on the software and engineer development lifecycles. The wide span of technical initiatives that Mr. Schwalm has led includes Information Technology Services, Software Application Development, Network & Systems Engineering, Business Intelligence, DevOps Solutions, Biometric Security Solutions, and Product Life Cycle Development.

Mr. Schwalm joined ActioNet in 2013 and is responsible for the management and oversight of key customer engagements, setting strategic direction, leading business development and sales, fostering client and partner relationships, building employee culture, and overseeing operations and delivery for the National Security Business Unit. His expertise in software development was instrumental in the development of ActioNetAgile®, the company’s proprietary methodology which combines Agile and DevOps with CMMI Level 3 practices. His current work at ActioNet affords him the opportunity to serve, among others, the IC, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Department of State (DOS), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Justice (DOJ), and the US Courts.

Mr. Schwalm holds a Master of Business Administration from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) from The College of William and Mary.  He has also achieved multiple professional and technical certifications.
