The Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) within the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) supports the development and testing of innovative health care payment and service delivery models.  The CMS Innovation Center has a growing portfolio testing various payment and service delivery models that aim to achieve better care for patients, better health for our communities, and lower costs through improvement for our health care system. Given the various models, CMMI required a solution that solicits market data from potential stakeholders quickly and provides enough flexibility to customize each unique model.

ActioNet, being an expert in rapid Salesforce configuration and deployment, leveraged the agility and scalability of the Salesforce Platform to quickly produce web based portals that allow stakeholders to submit Letters of Intent and applications to participate in their programs. Our solution also engineered an operational management component to support our Project Officer’s daily work stream. ActioNet’s solution utilized Salesforce’s powerful Customer Relationship Management (CRM) capabilities, complete with dashboards and reports, to create various management tools to help streamline process workflow. This enabled CMMI to have the information and tools they needed, when they needed them.

In addition to the model solicitation process and to facilitate sharing and collaboration between CMMI and its stakeholders, ActioNet configured custom communities to promote continued learning and support for the models.

Accomplishments:

ActioNet created numerous Salesforce applications including online forms, customized communities, operational support tools, and case management solutions that had a quick time to market, which offered CMS fast, flexible, and economical IT delivery.
