On October 8, 2025, ActioNeters came together for our annual Pink Party and Pumpkin Contest to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The room was full of pink, creativity, and good vibes as everyone showed off their one-of-a-kind pumpkins—each one made with care, heart, and a whole lot of sparkle.
✨ Congrats to our winners!
🥇 First Place: “Día de los Muertos” by Laura M, reminding us to celebrate our loved ones and the joyful memories that keep them close.
🥈 Second Place: “Octulus” by Lindsey D, a pink sea creature so legendary it could take on the Kraken!
🥉 Third Place: “Breast Cancer Fairy Pink Princess” by Alina R, a sweet and powerful symbol of strength in the fight against breast cancer.
🎨 Shoutout to Our Pumpkin Runner-Ups:
Big applause to everyone who joined in! Sandra M’s “Small but Mighty GlitterNet” sparkled with confidence and flair. “Eileen” In Honor of her Sister, battling breast cancer by Laura J. touched hearts with its message of love and support. Tony M’s “Pink Hero” showed courage in full color, and John W’s “Mr. Mustache” brought plenty of laughs. Karen T’s “Pink Catcher” was all charm and creativity, while Maricar R’s “Dessert Queen” lived up to its name—sweet, bold, and full of personality.
🍴 A Taste of Pink-tastic Fun
After the contest, we all enjoyed some seriously good food—bao, dumplings, skewers, meatballs, and tacos. Then came dessert, where Maricar R wowed us again with her beautiful flower cupcakes shaped like a pink ribbon. Cheesecake and ice cream rounded out the feast as everyone laughed, mingled, and enjoyed the afternoon together.
💗 Why We Wear Pink
Our Pink Parties remind us that behind all the fun is an important cause—1 in 8 women will experience breast cancer in their lifetime. Early detection is key, so don’t forget to schedule your checkups and encourage others to do the same. Thanks to everyone who made this year’s event such a wonderful celebration of hope, awareness, and community. 💕
