ActioNet, Inc. announced today its recent award of the NETCENTS-2 Application Services contract, a multiple-award indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract with the US Air Force to provide Information Technology Services.

About NETCENTS-2 Application Services SB

The Application Services Solutions (Small Business Companion) acquisition is one (1) of seven (7) ID/IQ contract categories included in the overall Air Force NETCENTS-2 Solutions acquisition. The purpose of Air Force Network-Centric Solutions-2 (NETCENTS-2) is to provide Air Force, Department of Defense (DoD), and other Federal Agencies with a primary source of networking equipment/product supply and a means of system engineering, installation, integration, operations, and maintenance for a family of DoD adopted commercially standardized networking solutions that are interoperable with Air Force, Joint, and DoD Standardized Networking Technical Architectures.

The NETCENTS-2 Application Services contract provides a vehicle for customers to access a wide range of services such as sustainment, migration, integration, training, help desk support, testing and operational support. Other services include, but are not limited to, exposing data from Authoritative Data Sources (ADS) to support web-services or Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) constructs in AF enterprise environments. Through this vehicle, the contractor shall develop content delivery and presentation services and new mission applications that operate in netcentric enterprise environments that exploit SOA infrastructures. This contract supports legacy system sustainment, migration and the development of new mission capabilities and applications.
