ActioNet, Inc. announced today the award of a five-year, $12M contract to provide IT Services for the U.S. Army, Fort Lewis Department of Public Works and Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security (DPTMS). Specifically, ActioNet will provide system administration, help desk, database administration, programming, data analysis, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), and data entry support services to Fort Lewis and the Yakima Training Center.
About Fort Lewis
The Fort Lewis Department of Public Works operates and maintains all facilities and utilities at Fort Lewis, WA and Yakima Training Center, Yakima, WA. This includes buildings, roads, utility systems, grounds maintenance, fire and emergency services, and environmental and natural resources. The DPTMS Range Control Division provides live training support to Fort Lewis resident, mobilizing, and deploying units; and other military services. DPTMS also administers the Integrated Training Areas Management (ITAM) program at Fort Lewis and the Yakima Training Center. During 2010, Fort Lewis and McChord AFB will merge into one military installation named Joint Base Lewis McChord and the Army will lead the management of all support services.
