ActioNet, Inc. announced today the award a five-year contract for software development, maintenance, and Help Desk support of the Transportation Electronic Awards Management (TEAM) system for the Federal Transportation Administration (FTA) with a total value of over $13M. TEAM is a mission-critical grants management system.
ActioNet’s President & CEO, Ashley W. Chen, first approached FTA in 1998 to help support FTA’s Y2K compliance effort. After successfully completing this project, ActioNet was brought back in 1999 to help FTA establish a first-class software development team and currently supports several applications and websites for FTA. Chen said, “Our process-oriented, results-focused approach to project management and software development has enabled us to provide quality support for our customers. We look forward continuing our partnership with FTA with this new opportunity to bring our proven work ethic and value-added support to TEAM.”
FTA is one of eleven operating administrations within the US Department of Transportation (DOT). FTA is the principal source of federal financial assistance to America’s communities for the planning, development, improvement, and maintenance of public transportation systems. Approximately ten billion dollars in annual federal grants are applied for, reviewed, approved, and managed using the TEAM system. FTA oversees thousands of grants to hundreds of state and local transit providers, primarily through its ten regional offices.
