ActioNet, Inc. announced today the award of a competitive three-year contract under its National Institutes of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC) Chief Information Officer – Solutions and Partners 3 (CIO-SP3) Small Business Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC).  The JBPHH NMSS Contract supports the Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), 747th Communications Squadron (CS) in providing communication activities pertaining to the Local Area Network (LAN), Metropolitan Area Network (MAN), and Wide Area Network (WAN) connections for HQ PACAF and the 15th Wing totaling over 7,000 users.

About PACAF and the 747th CS

PACAF, headquartered at JBPHH, Hawaii, is a major command of the U.S. Air Force and is the air component of the U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM).  PACAF’s primary mission is to provide USPACOM integrated expeditionary Air Force capabilities to defend the Homeland, promote stability, dissuade/deter aggression, and swiftly defeat enemies.  PACAF’s area of responsibility extends from the west coast of the United States to the east coast of Africa and from the Arctic to the Antarctic, covering more than 100 million square miles and is home to 50% of the world’s population in 36 nations and over one-third of the global economic output.

The 747th CS is charged with ensuring the delivery of communication and information capabilities to enable PACAF, 15th Wing, 67 tenant organizations and 13 geographically separated units to project peace and power throughout the Pacific and beyond.  The 747th CS has the largest Communications Security footprint throughout PACAF.  It is the focal point for all communications activities on Hickam Fields JBPHH.
