ActioNet, Inc. announced today the award of a four-year, $3.8M contract to provide range sustainment and engineering support services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Corona Division. Specifically, ActioNet will provide engineers, Geographical Information Systems (GIS) experts, and technical support personnel to support the Division’s range sustainment, systems replacement and modernization, and geomatic engineering requirements.

About NSWC Corona

NSWC Corona is a Naval Sea System (NAVSEA) Command activity and is the Navy’s independent assessment agent. The mission of NSWC Corona is to “Serve war-fighters and program managers as the Navy’s independent performance assessment agent throughout systems’ lifecycles by gauging the Navy’s war-fighting capability of weapons and integrated combat systems, from unit to force level, through assessment of those systems’ performance, readiness, quality, supportability, and the adequacy of training.” The Range Sustainment and Geomatic Engineering branch at NSWC Corona executes its mission of supporting the fleet’s war-fighting capabilities by assisting with the management and day-to-day operations of sustainment, systems replacement and modernization, and geomatic programs. Range sustainment includes the support of the scoring systems, electronic warfare systems, large area tracking range, and ocean systems to ensure that each respective system is properly engineered, maintained, and managed for long-term life-cycle support. The branch’s support of the Navy and Marine Corps tactical training ranges involves providing engineering solutions for yearly systems replacement and modernization requirements.
