ActioNet, Inc. announced today the award of a competitive five-year contract under its Army Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) Information Technology Services-Small Business (ITS-SB) Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (ID/IQ) contract.  The USAMITC MEDNOSC Wireless Network Engineering Team sustainment for Guest Wireless Local Area Network (GWLAN) services contract will provide sustainment support for the deployment, configuration, operation and sustainment of GWLAN (Guest Wi-Fi) services at the US Army Medical Department (AMEDD) Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs), clinics and other MEDCOM-designated locations.

USAMITC is a subordinate activity and is the IT execution arm of the MEDCOM.  The USAMITC provides full life cycle management support for information systems and services for the MEDCOM, the Military Health System (MHS), and other Government clients. The MEDNOSC is responsible for the seamless integration of the medical portion of the Army LandWarNet, the MHS network, and other Government networks delivering patient health care data, clinical applications, and administrative or logistical services to the AMEDD MTFs and other MEDCOM-designated locations.  The WLAN Team provides the MEDCOM with a WLAN capability within Army MTFs for the delivery of patient health care and administrative applications or data to authorized providers and staff using mobile end user devices.
