ActioNet, Inc. announced that Ashley Chen, its CEO, has been invited as a guest speaker at the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) Entrepreneurship 101, or “E-101,” workshop on January 10, 2023, and features a panel of small business experts on how to start a business. Presented by the FCEDA, in partnership with the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (SBSD), the Community Business Partnership (CBP) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the workshop provides an overview of business start-up fundamentals. Participants receive step-by-step information that covers registering a business, permitting requirements, business feasibility and business plan basics, business certifications, financing options and government resources. Please register for this workshop at https://www.fairfaxcountyeda.org/event/entrepreneurship-101-starting-a-business-in-fairfax-county-17/
The workshop features an “Entrepreneur Spotlight,” where Ashley will discuss her entrepreneurial journey and share valuable tips for business success. All participants who attend the entire webinar will receive a virtual “notebook” of business resource information. Networking opportunities are provided during the event. “This is especially meaningful for me as ActioNet was born in Fairfax County in 1998 and we are preparing to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. We appreciate the support of FCEDA throughout our Journey,” said Ashley W. Chen, Founder and CEO.
The FCEDA is here to help businesses start, expand or relocate in Fairfax County. Chartered by the Commonwealth of Virginia, the FCEDA is led by a board of county business leaders and funded by the Fairfax County government to promote the county as one of the world’s best business locations and build the county’s commercial tax base. The Board of Supervisors uses the commercial tax base to fund high-quality public services for a growing and diversifying population.
The FCEDA has three business investment divisions — National, International and Business Diversity — that work with companies interested in starting, expanding and relocating businesses to Fairfax County. The FCEDA also has market intelligence, real estate services and communications divisions.
