Vienna, VA

ActioNet, Inc. announced today its successful reappraisal against the recently-released CMMI®-DEV v1.3 model. ActioNet was an early adopter of the 1.3 version of the CMMI®-DEV model, achieving this appraisal within 6 months of its November 2010 release as part of a history of continuously keeping pace with the evolution of the SEI’s CMM/CMMI® model:

  • 2003: Level 3 rating, Software-CMM
  • 2005: Maturity Level 3 rating, CMMI®-SE/SW
  • 2008: CMMI®-DEV v1.2

ActioNet established a culture of quality processes and continuous improvement, achieving corporate ISO 9000 registration and re-registration in 2006 and 2009, and maintaining a workforce with certifications including the PMI PMP, ITIL, and others.

“When given the opportunity to take full advantage of our reappraisal to gain the advantage of the recent upgrade to the model, we pushed ourselves to ensure full compliance with the latest improvements to the model,” Senior Vice President and Chief Quality Officer Michele Hoopes commented. “This is part of our corporate culture of continual improvement.”

About THE CMMI® MODEL

CMMI® (Capability Maturity Model® Integration) models are collections of best practices that help organizations to improve their processes. These models are developed by product teams with members from industry, government, and the Carnegie Mellon® Software Engineering Institute (SEI). This model, called CMMI® for Development (CMMI®-DEV), provides a comprehensive integrated set of guidelines for developing products and services.
