Overview
The U.S. Air Force’s Base Infrastructure Modernization (BIM) contract is a multi-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract run by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Enterprise IT & Cyber Infrastructure Division available for use through the issuance of task orders. The USAF Base Infrastructure Modernization (BIM) IDIQ is a comprehensive initiative aimed at revolutionizing the Department of the Air Force’s (DAF) information technology infrastructure across its bases worldwide. This contract will provide for the furnishing, upgrading, designing, testing, installation, and maintenance of all Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPR) and Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPR) Base Area Network (BAN) wired and wireless components.
The scope includes operating, monitoring, and sustaining the network in accordance with specified requirements, ensuring robust and secure communication capabilities for Air Force operations. Bases with flightline operations may have additional requirements, which will be defined in individual Task Orders.
Each BIM task order is designed to provide a rapid transformation of the DAF’s base-centric IT infrastructure to an enterprise approach leveraging industry best practices and cutting-edge technologies. Task Orders may cover single or multiple bases, allowing for flexibility in implementation and resource allocation.
