In the current COVID-19 Pandemic, health and safety is ActioNet’s top priority. We have taken every precaution at our Headquarters to ensure that all our Employees are able to work comfortably and safely by implementing safety measures including social distancing, taking temperature checks upon entry, wearing face masks, rotating staff, and minimizing office occupancy. While everyone has quickly adjusted to this “new normal”, we are always seeking solutions and rising to new challenges.
Autumn is traditionally the busiest season for the Recruiting team, with an abundance of Career Fairs at Local Universities. ActioNet is constantly reaching out to local Universities and organizations, looking for excited entry-level talent. Although this year is no different in that we are still looking to connect with students and people in the job market, we have moved from traditional Job Fairs to Virtual Career Expositions. This shift from in-person to virtual will make sure that we are adjusting to this new normal and not putting potential Candidates at risk.
The Recruiting team engaged in our first virtual Job Fair with students at Virginia Tech’s Engineering Expo, in September. The turnout was excellent, and we were able to connect and engage with over a hundred students pursuing Engineering jobs. Although this exposition looked different than ones previous, we were excited to speak with so many incredible people and discuss ActioNet and our opportunities. We were especially impressed by the student’s optimism and easy adjustment to a college experience that is far from the norm. The Recruiting team is keeping our foot on the gas, and October is looking like a busy month with three job fairs on the calendar! Please see the Job Fairs on our calendar below:
- October 7th, 2020: Wounded Warrior Project Virtual Career Fair
- October 9th, 2020: MSSA Virtual Career Fair
- October 22nd, 2020: USAG Humphreys Job Fair in South Korea
