I started working for ActioNet in Hawaii this May, and it has been nothing short of amazing. I love the people I work with; I love the work that I do, and I love how I am growing every day as a working professional.

On my first day, looking at our company website, the quote “Turning Vision into Action” caught my eye immediately. The story behind how our CEO, Ashley Chen, chose the name for our company was very inspirational and has stuck with me ever since. (Read about it here!)

In personal life, I am an avid hiker. Since moving to Hawaii almost 3 years ago, I have fallen in love with the islands in this beautiful state. Whether it is hiking up in the mountains or walking the beaches along the blue ocean, I do it all. After I started exploring Oahu more and more, I noticed trash cluttering our precious environment. I saw loads of trash including water bottles, chip bags, broken glass, sharp nails (from bonfires using wood pallets), clothing, and much more. After seeing the trash time and time again, I decided it was finally time to take action to preserve my vision of a beautiful Hawaii. Now whenever I go hiking or head to the beach, I bring at least one trash bag with me to pick up any litter I see along the trails or in the sand.

I have found that “Turning Vision into Action” is not only a great motto and philosophy for our company, but is also very significant to other aspects of my personal life.
