Vienna, VA

ActioNet, Inc. announced today its successful recertification against the ISO 9001:2008 standard for Quality Management Systems.

Founded in 1998, ActioNet quickly saw the value of implementing industry-standard quality models in order to develop a firm foundation for future growth and maintenance of a culture of quality work on behalf of its clients. Focusing on the ISO 9000 and the SEI CMMI® models, ActioNet had achieved a Software-CMM® level 3 rating by 2003, Maturity Level 3 against the CMMI-SE/SW® standard in 2005, and a successful registration audit against the ISO 9001:2000 standard in 2006. Those quality credentials are now fully current with a CMMI-DEV® v1.2 Maturity Level 3 appraisal in May 2008 and successful recertification audit against the new ISO 9001:2008 standard in June 2009.

ActioNet has shown the effectiveness of establishing a solid footing in quality processes, continuing to maintain the quality of its programs during a period of sustained high growth, with over 300% growth of the company in the past three-quarters.

“ActioNet’s re-certification under ISO 9001:2008 is representative of our continuous process improvement focus that is weaved into every function within our company. Our ongoing mission is to continue to raise the bar higher to provide outstanding service to our customers,” said ActioNet Executive VP Jeffrey Abish. “Our pursuit of this includes identification and adoption of other certifications that support our service offerings and quality objectives.”

ABOUT ISO 9001:2008 REGISTRATION

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is a global network that identifies what International Standards are required by business, government, and society, develops them in partnership with the sectors that will put them to use, adopts them by transparent procedures based on national input, and delivers them to be implemented worldwide. ISO has a current portfolio of over 15,000 standards that provide practical solutions and achieve benefits for almost every sector of business, industry, and technology. ISO 9001:2008 specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to provide products that fulfill customer and applicable regulatory requirements and aims to enhance customer satisfaction. Seven quality management principles lead an organization towards improved performance: customer focus, leadership, involvement of people, process approach, systematic management of processes, continual improvement, and a factual approach to decision making.
